Eng Ch Zande Almasi, otherwise known as Gizmo, relaxing
after a successful 1996 season. Gizmo started the year with a
Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts, went straight into a Club Specialty
Best in Show followed rapidly by a Challenge Certificate with
Best of Breed and a Reserve CC. He enjoyed an even better start
to 1997, taking Reserve Best Dog at a Club Specialty Open and
a second CC at SKC in May. His Crown came with his third CC at
Blackpool Championship Show in June.
Zande Asali, who actually lives in Germany,
thoroughly enjoyed her holidays on a Greek Island - She is one
of the few Basenjis we know who really loves water and enjoys
paddling in rivers and streams local to her home with her friend,
a French Bulldog. She won her first CACIB/CAC in the Spring of
1997.
Zande Askari (Spider), may be forgiven for sticking his
tongue out. He became a proud father at the end of 1996 and one
of his offspring lives in Belgium. Spider came late
to the UK Show scene in 1996 but now has 1 CC, 3 RCCs and a Reserve Best in Show at a Club Specialty to his credit. He followed his litter-brother, Gizmo, around the ring in triumph at Blackpool 1997 - taking the Reserve CC as Gizmo took the CC and achieved his title. A wonderful endorsement for the brothers.
